Brotherhood of the Balloon, a COMPPARE Partner Organization, told their BOB Tales newsletter readers last month about the serious problems associated with standard transrectal biopsy procedures. This prompted several emails from members who had had similar experiences. Brotherhood of the Balloon then decided to investigate a new and relatively unknown technology that virtually eliminates the sepsis infection problem: transperineal biopsies.
